  • SOMERVILLE, Mass. - Dec.6,1986 - 4 Alarms transmitted for this fire at 202 Highland Avenue. A friend and I discovered the fire on the way home from a night of buffing. A light haze in the street and the sight of an occupant diving out a 1st floor window were the tip off. We turned in the initial alarm from the street box and entered the building to alert residents who were not already making their way out of the building. We missed all but two on the top floor who were later rescued via Ladder 2's stick.
