Boston MA - 3 Alarms for 87 Linden St
Sun., April 28, 2013 - Multiple calls were received for a building fire on Linden St in the Allston section of Boston. Ladder 14 arrived to find heavy smoke pushing from the front 2nd floor and attic and heavy fire venting in the rear. Occupants were in the process of jumping from the porch roof at the 2nd floor level. A 2nd Alarm was promptly ordered. Civilians reported one occupant of the attic missing and an aggressive attack and search & rescue operation were immediately initiated. Several firefighters were injured during the attack and despite valiant attempts, firefighters could not make the attic area due to a staircase that had burned away and a very heavy fire condition. A 3rd Alarm was transmitted. Sadly, the missing occupant was later found deceased in the building.
